painted pine toy chest was a gift for a friends new
baby girl. The lid is self supporting and takes some
effort to close, this ensures no childs hands or fingers
will get injured from a lid dropping on them.
The
bottom of the chest is strong enough to hold a person.
This way if the child decides to climb in, there is
no danger of falling through the bottom.
